The purple zebra tomato is a newcomer to the tomato market. This billiard ball-sized fruit has superb, rich, complex, irresistible flavor – think umami mixed with a bit of sweet. The fruits have a think skim with a moderately firm texture.  The fruits are dark red with green stripes and a mahogany red interior. A great seller at Farmer’s Markets.
